Hello, my name is Gregorie Ream, and I grew up in Alexandria, La. during the 60's, 70's and 80's, in a
single-parent household on Isabella Drive with my three sisters
Christine, Theresa and Heidi, and one brother; John. My mothers name was
Betty Wale Ream. She was employed at the La.DOT (highway dept) located on
MacArthur Dr and Sterkx Rd. We had all attended St. Francis Cabrini,
with the exception of Theresa, who had attended multiple schools because
of her health. I was the youngest of five siblings, and only 8 years old
when Theresa died that day, Friday, June 26, 1970. My mission is quite simple. To initiate a grass roots effort to petition the Bishop to begin the
canonization process for my sister. My friends and I had witnessed a spectacular miracle that day when my sister died, and
more have occurred over the years to my family and I. Did you know of her
or had contact with her, or known anyone that may have been affected either through Theresa's intercession or other
anomalies associated with her? Did
she make an impression on you, do you have a fond remembrance of her?
Please share your testimonies with us, as they are an integral part of
the canonization process.
She came in contact with quite a few people during her short life, and we know that she had impacted a few of those people. She briefly attended several schools here in Alexandria, including Huddle Elementary (1964-65, 1966-67) and Prompt Succor (1964-65, 1965-66). Were you possibly a classmate of
hers, a teacher or other staff member? Please be sure and browse through the rest of the site to see a more complete list of schools and dates. Did you attend one of the camp sessions at the Leesville Lions Camp for Crippled Children between 1966 - 1969? Were you one of the camp counselors or staff at the camp?
Were you a doctor or nurse that came to know her from her many admissions to the local hospitals here in Alexandria? Perhaps some of our neighbors and friends that grew up in our neighborhood when we lived on Gordon Ave., and later on Isabella Drive. Were you a member of the clergy, or a sister
from the area parishes? Everyone seemed to know that Theresa was unique
and different. She endured relentless pain her entire life, but would
never give up. She was vigilant in her prayers and faith, and she knew that
there was another path in her journey, one that she would soon discover.
I also believe that this campaign will serve another purpose. It will be
a testament that we are not alone as many think we are. There are a staggering amount of people who simply want
a modicum amount of evidence that there is something else after this life.
Most everyone has a morbid fascination about life and death and if
anything else awaits us when we die. They want something tangible, something they can see and hear for themselves. They want validation for
hope, they want someone to illuminate the truth about life and I firmly
believe that this revelation will open up new doors for those that have been
shut out, and shine a light into the dark abyss that has been a mystery
to a lot of people.
Please help us in our campaign to spread the word about Theresa's
extraordinary story. Browse through the website and see if you may
recognize any of the names we have so far, or perhaps you may know of
someone that can assist us on this journey. Maybe you have something
that you can contribute. No matter how trivial it may seem, please let
us know. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Contact us at: starcompanies@yahoo.com
